Workflows- User Document Upload and Approval Workflow
Knowledge Base | Workflows | User Document Upload and Approval Workflow
This guide outlines the step-by-step process for setting up a document upload and approval workflow in Mition. It’s designed to help administrators configure workflows that collect user-submitted documents (such as identification, qualifications, or certifications), assign verification tasks to staff, and optionally gate subscription activation until approval is complete. The workflow can be applied to any user type—whether for onboarding, compliance, membership, or supplier registration—and supports flexible configuration using Mition’s admin tools
To begin, log in to the Mition admin dashboard. From the left-hand menu, scroll down and click on Admin Settings. In the submenu that appears, select Workflows. This section allows you to create, edit, and manage workflows
Click the New button to start building a workflow. In the setup form:
Navigate to Workflow Request Types under Admin Settings. Click + NEW to create a new type. Give it a clear name, such as “User Verification” or “Supplier Onboarding.” Add a description like: “Complete your registration. See tasks still required on your dashboard.” Save the request type.
Click on the request type you just created. Use the + ADD STEP button to include the workflow steps you want users to complete. For example:
Go to Subscription Admin and select the subscription you want to associate with the workflow. Click Edit. In the subscription settings
Set the Workflow Request Type to the one you created (e.g., “User Verification”).
Set the Renewal Workflow Request Type to the same or a different one, depending on your needs. This ensures that users must complete the workflow before their subscription or renewal is processed.
When a user logs in, they will see a dashboard with:
Whether you're managing memberships, supplier registrations, or compliance checks, Mition’s flexible workflow engine ensures that user data is collected, reviewed, and approved efficiently. For best results, test each step thoroughly before going live, and use the included images to support training or internal documentation.
