Event Email Tags

If you’ve ever had to send event emails and found yourself copy‑pasting names, dates, and details over and over, you know it’s a pain — and easy to mess up. Mition’s email tags take that headache away. They’re little placeholders you drop into your email template (like [PreferredName] or [EventDetails]), and when you hit send, Mition automatically swaps them for the real details from your event and attendee list.

The result? Every person gets an email that feels like you wrote it just for them — but you only had to write it once.

Head to your Event Page and fill in all the details — name, category, start/end date and time, location, capacity, description, even an image if you have one. This info is where your tags will pull from, so the more complete it is, the better your emails will be.

Your Event View is what attendees will see when they click through from your email. It shows live details like tickets available, date, location, and category — all things your tags can use. Double‑check it looks good here; if it’s wrong, fix it on the Event Page.

In the Email Template- Content, write your message once and drop in tags where you want personalisation. Example:

Add a clear subject line, e.g., “You have an event coming up”.

Write your email body once and drop in tags.

Hi [PreferredName],

You have an event coming up!

[EventDetails]

Best regards,
[CompanyName]
[CompanyABN]
[CompanyAddress]

STATUS:

  • Draft → You can edit, copy, and reuse later, but it will not send until published.
  • Published → Ready for sending. Always make sure the template is published before sending any email.

Your Attendees List is where personal details come from — names, emails, ticket numbers. Check everything’s correct so your tags have the right data to work with.
You can view attendees on Event Editor

Pick your attendee list, Click on Email , choose your template, and give everything one last look.

Before that you can use the Test option to send yourself a preview — make sure names, dates, and details are showing up correctly.

Mition will pull the live event and attendee info, swap in the tags, and send everyone their own personalized email.

When your attendees open the email, they’ll see:

  • Their own name in the greeting
  • Your event details pulled fresh from the system
  • Your organisation’s name, ABN, and address Exactly like you meant to send it — without any last‑minute scrambles.
Leveraging email tags within Mition streamlines communication, minimises manual input errors, and ensures each recipient receives precise, relevant information — reinforcing efficiency, consistency, and professionalism in every message.
